The academy is non-selective and open to children of all abilities. The academy will admit 87 year 7 students each year until September 2013 when this will rise to 120.
We hold open days each autumn for families whose children are interested in applying to the school the following year. Details of our open days for 2012 admission are available here.
Applications must be made through the City of Birmingham admissions process. There is no supplementary form. You can find full details of the Birmingham admissions process here.
In the case of oversubscription, we want to make sure that the allocations criteria are clear and fair. After admitting children with statements of special educational need where the academy is named on the statement and those in public care, including foster care, students will be admitted in the following order:
The academy is oversubscribed and an appeals process exits should your child not secure a place initially. Parents wishing to appeal for a place should contact Debbie Whitehouse in the first instance.
